Paris, Tourism and metropolisation

 Presentation of the conference

The University of Paris 1 PANTHEON-SORBONNE, the International Research Team on Tourism (EIRST) and  the Research Institute of Higher Education Studies on Tourism (IREST) organize in June 2010 an International Conference about PARIS, TOURISM and METROPOLIZATION.

This scientific event is really topical, at the moment Paris Metropolis is discussing the Grand Paris.

Making the hypothesis that tourism and leisure are accelerators or even producers of metropolisation, this conference aims at exploring the relationship between tourism and Paris Metropolis.

It invites to review the relationship between tourism and space, economy and society of the different scales of Paris territories.
