Illustrated with concrete examples, this module highlight the contribution of logistics to the marketing strategy. The assignment involves a review of the papers on a subject of actuality and a case study based on a real company.

-       Development of products and services processes

This module addresses logistics issues linked to the different steps of the product life cycle : identification of the client’s needs (delays, availability, tracking systems …), definition of the requirements in terms of transport and (conditioning, packaging, …), importance of  logistics after purchase (reverse logistics, feedback network,…)

-       Production and Storage processes

This module is structured around three majors themes : project management, stocks management and needs management. The assignment is a dissertation based on documentary researches as well as interviews of companies by the students.

-       Downstream logistics and distribution management

This module deals with the distribution networks, transports and service provisions choices. It also attaches itself to study the organization of logistic platforms and distributions centers. Therefore students will built up a report on issues linked with a distribution model.

-       Information systems

This module is interested in the management of information concretely and with software. Its approach is to have a look at nowadays technical issues that will influence supply chain management: the choice between local and extended networks, the integration of enterprise resource planning (SAP),…
Students give a talk every week on a theme in order to illustrate these issues.

-       Upstream Management and Purchasing process

This module covers two dimensions of purchasing marketing: the strategic aspect that will enable managers to diagnose the purchasing management and the operational aspect based on the suppliers’ choices and the relationships between suppliers and clients. The module focus on the main tools and principles while the students built on reports to illustrate them with examples. This module is also linked with the information systems module for the realization of an exercise.
