Grading

For each course, the final grade is given in the form of a percentage (between 0 and 100). The students' GPAs are computed in a scale from 0 to 4.

This table resume the conversion of the percentage and the GPA's weights:

Grade
Marks/Scale
GPA
A+95-1004
A90-944
A-87-893.7
B+83-863.3
B80-823
B-75-792.7
C+70-742.3
C65-692
D50-641
F0-490

- After each semester a B average (GPA above 3.0), calculated over the past semesters, is needed to be automatically accepted in the next semester, and a B average (over the two years) is needed to get the degree.

- With an average grade below 3.0 at the end of a semester, students will be put in academic probation (to allow for exceptional situations).

- With an F, the student must take the course again and that F is replaced by the new grade after the retake  (F will not appear in the degree). With a second F, the student is out of the program, unless the student has taken a course again to replace the first fail.
