Independant Student Application (Bachelor, Year 1)

Do you wish to start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne? Here is the procedure to follow for submitting your application! This procedure varies depending on your nationality, your country of residence and the type of diploma that you are studying for (or that you hold).

 


European students

Are you a citizen of a country of the European Union (EU = 28 countries), of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA = 4 countries = Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or the Vatican? To start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in September 2017, you must apply at www.admission-postbac.fr (APB) between 20 January and 20 March 2017

 


Non-European students residing in a CEF procedure country

Are you not a citizen of a country of the European Union (EU = 28 countries), of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA = 4 countries = Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or the Vatican AND you reside in one of the following 36 countries? :

Depending on the type of diploma that you are studying for (or that you hold), here are the different application procedures.

 

French, Binational or European high school diploma

Are you studying for or hold a French high school diploma (baccalauréat issued by a French high school in France or abroad), Binational high school diploma [French-German (Abibac), French-Spanish (Bachibac) or French-Italian (Esabac)] or a European high school diploma (issued by one of the 14 European Schools of the EU)? In order to start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in September 2017, you must apply at www.admission-postbac.fr (APB) between 20 January and 20 March 2017. If you are accepted, you must then logon to www.campusfrance.org (CEF) in order to apply for a visa.

 

Other high school diplomas

Are you studying for or hold a high school diploma other than French, Binational or European (cf. above)? In order to start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in September 2017, you must make a Demande d'Admission Préalable (DAP) at www.campusfrance.org (CEF) between 15 November 2016 and 22 January 2017. If you are accepted, you must then re-logon to that website in order apply for a visa.

 


Non-European students not residing in a CEF procedure country

Are you not a citizen of a country of the European Union (EU = 28 countries), of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA = 4 countries = Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland), Andorra, Monaco, San Marino or the Vatican AND you do not reside in a CEF procedure country? Depending on the type of diploma that you are studying for (or that you hold), here are the different application procedures.
 
French, Binational or European high school diploma
Are you studying for (or hold) a French high school diploma (baccalauréat issued by a French high school in France or abroad), Binational high school diploma [French-German (Abibac), French-Spanish (Bachibac) or French-Italian (Esabac)] or a European high school diploma (issued by one of the 14 European Schools of the EU)? In order to start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in September 2017, you must apply at www.admission-postbac.fr (APB) between 20 January and 20 March 2017. If you are accepted and if you do not reside in France, you must then apply to the French Consulate of your place of residence for a visa.
 
Other high school diplomas

Are you studying for (or hold) a high school diploma that is not French, Binational or European (cf. above)? In order to start the first year of a Bachelor (Licence 1) at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in September 2017, you must make a Demande d'Admission Préalable (DAP) between 15 November 2016 and 22 January 2017:
if you reside in France: send a green file to Mr. Pascal Melou (for applications for Economics Geography, Management, History, History of Art, IT, Mathematics) or to Mr. Sadri Sakka (for applications for Economic and Social Administration, Visual Arts, Law, Political Science, Philosophy), University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Department of International Relations, Mobility Service, 58 Boulevard Arago, 75013 Paris, France. Beforehand, ensure that you read the notice and enclose all of the requested documents.
if you reside abroad:  send a white file to the cultural service of the French Embassy of your country of residence (beforehand, ensure that you read the notice and enclose all of the requested documents). If you are accepted, you must then apply to the French Consulate of your place of residence for a visa.
